News for 2007
We are proud to present our DVD, Walk In My
Shoes, which we premiered at our fundraiser on April 21 in
Berkeley to a standing ovation from an overflow crowd.
The
fundraiser was a huge success thanks to the hard work and generosity of
our many friends and supporters. Walk
In My Shoes is an interactive DVD, based on The Sisters Project
performance of My Sister, My Sister. The film is a powerful
integration of photography and poetry--read by our Shadow Voice
readers--that intimately portrays the lives and struggles of women and
children who live in our community. The
DVD will be ready for distribution on July 1, 2007. This new medium will
make it possible to carry The Sisters Project message about homeless women and children to a
broader audience than has been possible with a live performance. For
information about group presentations and workshops, and to order the DVD
for $28 (including tax and shipping), contact Meredith Stout at mstout@there.net. You
can also order our elegant new book, Walk In My Shoes, for
$20 (including tax and shipping) at the above email address.
Our
gallery exhibit... The Sisters Project elegant
gallery show of 25 photographs with poetry is looking for a new home. If
you know of a good venue, please contact us.
