What We Do
The Sisters Project is an outreach project. We carry our message to colleges, high schools, businesses, shelters, churches, recovery groups,
and artist workshops. We want to reach out to everyone.
Here is what we offer:
Our DVD.
An
interactive DVD entitled Walk
in My Shoes, A Personal Response to Homelessness.
The 25 minute film is based on our multimedia performance of My
Sister, My Sister, and incorporates videographic art, photographs,
music, and poetry read by the Shadow
Voices. It is available for presentations and workshops on issues of
poverty, race, addiction and gender in our communities.
Presentations and Workshops. We
offer workshops, which include a DVD presentation, photography and
poetry readings, and shared stories. Through our art and discussions of
homelessness, we explore our responses to community problems and ways we
can change how we address these issues. These workshops are available
throughout the community.
Our Exhibit. An
elegant gallery exhibit of thirty framed photographs is available for general circulation.
